This animation project encapsulates my research on the Chilworth Gunpowder Mills industrial site, which was in use for centuries in Chilworth until its closure in the early 1920s. Since then, the site has been taken over by nature and it has transformed into a popular outdoor spot for the community.
The animation explores the interaction between past and present, natural and industrial, and the clues to the local history and heritage that are hidden in plain sight.
